(up)rooted is a collection of images taken in San Mateo County. It is an exploration of my reclamation of comfort and home after the generational effects of displacement, speaking through the natural environment. I collaborated with gerbera daisies to make my photos, using my late great grandmother, Daisy, and my ancestry to guide me.

This is to reclaim the land.
